Permanency for Children & Youth in Care

Performance Indicators

An overarching aim is to achieve permanency – safe, stable and enduring family relationships for children and youth through reunification, adoption, transfer of guardianship or other meaningful lifelong connections. Planning for permanence is a priority that starts from the point of first placement, with a focus on family reunification that at the same time includes consideration of alternate legally permanent options such as adoption and transfer of guardianship.
