The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) supports healthy child development through its commitment to collaborative professional practice delivered across a range of services. These services strive to maximize the potential of children and youth and achieve meaningful outcomes for children, youth and families. MCFD’s approach to service delivery is focused on service excellence, operational excellence and continuous learning and growth. This portal contains data and trends as well as the ministry's performance indicators for each service line. It is updated twice annually.

MCFD funds a range of programs and services for children and youth with support needs, and their families.

Child & Youth Mental Health

Community-based specialized mental health services to children and youth under the age of 19 and their families.

Child Protection

Services to support families to care safely for their children. Includes Children and Youth in Care.

Adoption Services

Adoption and permanency planning services for children and youth who are in the continuing care of MCFD.

Youth Justice

Youth Justice and Forensic Services provide community supervision and custody programs for youth aged 12 to 17.
